John R. Molt Jr., age 75 of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russ and Dorothy Molt; sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” Kozarski. John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joanne Molt; children, Sarah (Rolfe) Krachenberg, John (Mandi) Molt; grandchildren, Thomas and Katie Krachenberg, Abby and Johnny Molt; sister, Kathy (Erv) Ratajczak; sisters-in-law, Diane Fox, and Marlene (Carl) Weny; and many beloved nieces and nephews. John graduated from West Catholic in 1965 and from Central Michigan University. He worked as a salesman for Spraying Systems for 35 years. John enjoyed playing bridge, pickleball, and golf. He loved to travel and especially loved coaching and cheering on his kids and grandkids. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1935 Plymouth St. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49506 with visitation one-hour prior. Rev. Leonard Sudlik and Rev. Troy Nevins, concelebrants.
