Jerry Leo Huver, age 75, of Lowell, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his home on June 20, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife and three daughters.
Born on November 26, 1950 to Leo Thomas and Helen Marie (Freeman) Huver, he was a man who approached life with energy, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to his family. A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Jerry loved the thrill of racing dirt bikes. Many summer weekends were spent at the track, where his wife, Phyllis, and his daughters proudly served as his dedicated “pit crew.” He was also an avid hunter throughout his life, looking forward to annual trips to Northern Michigan or out west with his brothers and friends.
Jerry brought that same dedication and strong work ethic to his career. He spent 42 years at Amway, where he retired as the Setup Supervisor in the Liquids department. Working at the company was a true family tradition, as he proudly shared the workplace with both his father and his brother over the years.
Over the years, he and Phyllis partnered to remodel and build several houses, creating beautiful homes where their family made lasting memories. Whether he was working on a project, tending to the farm, or doing yard work alongside Phyllis, his girls, and eventually his sons-in-law, Jerry was happiest when he was active and working next to the people he loved most.
As the ultimate girl-dad, Jerry was always involved, whether he was coaching from the bench or cheering and photographing the action from the sidelines at his daughters’ softball and basketball games, cheer competitions or hurling matches – supporting them in whatever sport or passion they pursued.
That same fierce support and love extended beautifully to his grandchildren. He was present for them, rarely missing a band or choir concert, a sports game, or the chance to teach them how to shoot a bow, cast a fishing line or take them on Gator rides all around the farm.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Phyllis (Blough) Huver; his daughters, Jessica (Kevin) Flynn, Jillian (Jeff) Westbrook, Jodie (Matt Baker) Huver; his seven grandchildren, Eleanor, Maria, Tadhg, Niamh, Wyatt, Liam, and Leo; his sister, Frances (John) Brown; brother, Kenneth (Patricia) Huver; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss his quiet strength, his resourcefulness, and his hilarious one-liners. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James (Sue) Huver.
Jerry’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Atrio Home Health Care, Gauthier Family Home Care and Faith Hospice. Your compassion and dedication brought comfort and peace during a difficult time. We will forever be grateful for the love and dedication given to Jerry and our family.
Family will greet friends and relatives, on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 5:30-8:00 PM at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson Lowell, Michigan 49331, with a Rosary starting at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4351 Parnell Ave NE, Ada, Michigan 49301, with visitation one hour prior. Interment St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.

Jerry I will never forget, I worked in liquids for years. Jerry and I joke around a lot. I thought the world of Jerry. He will be missed. Bye Jerry, you will be missed!!!!
Jerry was a good man and typically pretty funny. He was great to work with. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Jerry knew how to work hard, toward the goal, and long hours if necessary. We could use more people like him.
