Janice Lee Byerly, age 80 of Grand Rapids, passed away February 3, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Trinkler; mother, Marie Hunter; and step-father, Joseph Hunter. Jan is survived by her children, Joe (Liz) Hunter, Kate (Sharon) Hunter, Kyle Mercer; grandchildren, Ashley (Kyle) Wood, Cheyenne (Aubrey) Woern, Brianna Adair, Connor Adair; great-grandchildren, KJ Wood, Robbie Wood, and Callahan Woern.
Family will greet friends and relatives from 5-8PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier & Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 250 Brown St. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49507, with visitation starting at 10:30AM.
