James Manny

James H. Manny III, age 77 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his beloved Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Marion Manny; sister, Marilyn Manny; mother-in-law, Lorna Friedel; treasured niece, Sara Mattingly. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Connie; children, Kyle (Kathy) Manny, Megan Thul; grandchildren, James “Jimmy”, Elizabeth “Betty”; father-in-law, Ronald Friedel; siblings, Barb (Peter) Bohn, Richard (Kathy) Manny, Sara (Stephen) Weiss, John Manny; along with many nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from the University of Illinois and served in the United States Army Reserves. In his younger years, he was an avid sailor. He treasured his second home, White Lake, and enjoyed time spent there. In his spare time, Jim liked to golf, read, and most of all spend time with his precious grandchildren. He was also an active member of his church and within DeColores Ministries. Memorial Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Oakhill Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1930 Leonard St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505, with visitation one hour prior.
