Jamie Ireland, age 57 of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectantly on July 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harrison and Isabelle Hartman; aunt, Gloria Jean Butcher; niece, Heather Hug. Jamie is survived by his sons, Jeremy Ireland, Jacob (Carly Farmer) Ireland, Jared Ireland; mother of his children, Julie Ireland; parents, Gary and Kittie Bolte; brothers, Jeffery (Chandra) Ireland, Gregory (Rachel) Ireland; sister, Jeri (John) Nally; beloved canine companion, Juba; along with many nieces and nephews.
Jamie graduated from Forest Hills Central High School in 1985. He was an outstanding athlete playing football. He attended both Grand Rapids Community College and Liberty University in Virginia.
Jamie loved flying and attended AMR COMBS Flight School receiving his solo certificate on February 28, 1990.
He later went on to secure a Premier level soccer coaching certification and coached his three sons in soccer.
Jamie owned and operated his painting company, which brought to light his love for Victorian architecture and attention to detail.
He was known as a fun loving jokester who was able to put a smile on anyone’s face. Jamie never met a stranger; he was a very charismatic and outgoing individual. His most precious times were spent with his family and those he loved, including his closest companion, Juba.
Visitation with the family will take place from 11-1pm on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Interment Cascade Cemetery.

I remember meeting Jamie in middle school & later Rob Mackey,Deanie Peters & I became friends💕 I will always think of him with a smile. Rest in peace sweet friend.
