Herman H. Penninga, age 91, of Grand Rapids was carried home by his Lord and Saviour, Monday, July 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene (2011); sons, Douglas, and Jerry; and granddaughter, Rachel. Herman is survived by his children, Paul (Ann) Penninga, Cheryl (Jim) Feddema, Gord (Cheri) Penninga; daughter-in-law, Sandy (Steve) Fleming; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Dave (Carol) Penninga; sister, Esther Land; also, nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Herman was a faithful husband, and loving father who raised his children to be faithful to the Lord. He worked for Johnson Construction Company for many years. After his retirement, he loved working with CRWRC. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 22, 2021, 11:00 am at Ada Christian Reformed Church, 7152 Bradfield SE, Ada, MI 49301. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 6-8 pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
