My sincere Christian love and sympathy in the passing of your dear father. He was so special to our family.
I was so blessed to have Glenn as a brother in law. To know him was to live him. Always there to help in anyway. I personally have known him since I was 7 years old. I can’t begin to express my appreciation for his life and the influence he had on my life. He had a part in our wedding ceremony some 63 years ago. That meant so much to me and Mamie.
I had the opportunity to meet Glenn while he was visiting his daughter, Marlene and her family many years ago. His warmth and kindness is something I will never forget. Marlene and her family mirrored this same kindness and love to our family next door. My heart breaks imagining what a loss this must be for the whole family.

I will always remember how kind both Pastor Marks and his wife were.. They were both so kind and gentle and loving hearts they both had. I lived in East Gate and went to the church he built. We met them because my dad had been working 3rd shift and was curious as to what was being built so he stopped and ended up helping with building the church. Pastor had 3 ponies Windy, Sunny, and the baby Misty. Pastor would let me come over to ride them. After every service, the first thing i would do is go and give them both hugs. They were both such a great part of my childhood and I will never forget the love they showed us all.
I just heard of your loss. I am so sorry. Your dad was a kind and gentle man. It was my honor to have known him.
I’m am so sorry for your loss and will be continuing to pray for the family. I will not be able to attend, but my thoughts will be with you.
Tom & Becky we just heard the news of Glenn’s “home going”. Tom thank you for letting me get to know your dad thru our chats over the years. His perseverance and obedience to his Savior is a wonderful example to all of us. Please be assured you and your family will be in our prayers.
Glenn was Bethel University’s oldest graduate! We grieve his loss with his son Tom who continues to faithfully serve Bethel. The Marks family members are examples of true servant leadership, and we all share the knowledge and confidence that Glenn is experiencing pure joy as he has heard the words “well done, good and faithful servant!”
May the Lord bless and comfort you! –Maralee Crandon (at Bethel)
What a joy for Glenn to be with Jesus, the One he loved so much! All these years he shared Jesus with so many people, and now he gets to hug Him, see Him face to face, and know the overwhelming joy of being in His manifest presence. II Timothy 4:7-8 are so fitting for Glenn’s life! I only met him a few years ago as a fellow veteran, and sat and talked with him as he had been picking up branches up at Evergreen. It was a joy to talk with him, because his life was overflowing with joy since he loved Jesus so much. We are going to miss him. But may we carry on the witness for Jesus Glenn had so that others know how wonderful Jesus is and love Him greatly.
Dear Stan and Cindy and your whole family,
Brenda and I are thinking of you during this time of grief
and undying hope in Christ, which you have at your father’s home-going. We loved your parents very much and always loved visiting them and you all at Evergreen Church.
I will always remember Glenn as a positive, joy-filled, hard-working Pastor for his church and the Kingdom, and he had that big-wide smile to with it. He needs to be in the Presence of Jesus now! In His Love, Jim & Brenda Keller
