Frederick Robinson Kreiser

Frederick “Fred” R. Kreiser, age 81 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordan and Virginia Kreiser. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Carolyn) Kreiser; niece, Lisa (Michael) Buys; great nieces, Lily and Vivien Buys; and feline companion, Rudy. Fred earned his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University and master’s degree from Michigan State University. He went on to teach History at Catholic Central. He was a Maintenance Man at Topline Packaging, and was a Security Guard at Old Kent Bank, and he operated a property rental business. History was his true passion. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 750 Gladstone Dr SE, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Scott Nolan presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
