EMMA ELIZABETH LEY

Emma Elizabeth Ley died peacefully on Christmas day, 2012. A faithful wife, great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and friend. Emma is survived by her children, Dolores Ley of Newaygo, Diana and David Moore of Grand Rapids, Richard and Sharon Ley of Fremont, and Stuart and Rose Ley of Marne; her brother, Loren and sister-in law, Kim of Mt. Pleasant; eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ley, a farmer, John Deere dealer and great father and her father and mother ,Lou and Eva Gray of Weidman, Michigan. Emma’s love for her family, cooking and dancing will be cherished. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 4 at O’Brien-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE in Grand Rapids. The family thanks Tendercare Health and Rehabilitation Center of Wyoming for the care and compassion they gave to Emma. They also thank Hospice of Michigan for her gentle and compassionate final days.
