Douglas E. Wilcox

DOUGLAS EDWIN WILCOX, age 84 of Kentwood, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. He was preceded in death by grandson, Andy Osborn, brother, Thomas (Mina) Wilcox; sister, Barbara (Tom) Shay. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Katie; children, Steven Wilcox, Sharon (Tim) Osborn, Susan Jones, Liz (Leroy) Schwandt, Theresa (Jeff) Vredeveld; brother, Vernon (Shirley) Wilcox; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Doug served in the US Air Force for 22 years and worked at Jet Electronics for 25 years. The family would like to thank Mercy Health Medical THRIVE Program, as well as Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 31, 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Parish, 750 Gladstone Dr. S.E., East Grand Rapids. Rev. Paul Milanowski presiding. Interment Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
