Doris “Jean” Potter Bishop, age 96 of Lowell, Michigan, unexpectantly passed away on February 11, 2025.
The daughter of Otis and Ina Potter, she was born June 16, 1928, in the village of Lowell. Jean was a beloved mother to Tom, Jerry, Cathy, Cheryl, Peggy, and Kelly, We weren’t rich in material things, but we were wealthy beyond belief in family and love. Every holiday was a reason to get together and enjoy each other. Jean was Known as “Pee-wee Potter” growing up. She worked at Root- Lowell. Jean enjoyed working out in the yard and loved her flowers.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Budd A. Bishop. She is survived by her children, Tom (Patrica) Bishop, Jerry (Linda) Bishop, Cathy McCabe, Cheryl (Rick) Kemperman, Peggy (Ron) Stanford, Kelly (Jenny Teachout) Bishop; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; niece, Barb (Howard) Briggs; and her canine companion Ralphie. We will never forget the love she brought to our lives. Jean will be deeply missed by many. We will cherish our memories forever.
Private family burial will take place at a later date.

“Aunt Jean” was a witty, sweet, funny and lovely lady who could brighten any day. She was an inspiration to my mother (Judy Potter) and I.
