DONALD E. GEELHOED

Donald E. Geelhoed, age 76 of Lowell, went to be with his Lord and Savior, December 20, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margaret Geelhoed; sisters, Betty and Jean Acheson; and wife of 44 years, Barbara. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; mother-in-law, Theresa Rowley; children, Dan (Ann) Geelhoed, Steve Geelhoed, Karen (Brian) Woodhead; step children, Kyle (Kristin) Thompson, Brian (Sarah) Thompson; grandchildren, Jeff and Mike Geelhoed, Steven Geelhoed, Joey, Matt and Ryan Woodhead, Natalee, Megan, Eliana and Bryleigh Thompson; sisters, Donna VanderLaan, Eleanor Serne, Lorraine Sloan; aunt, Ella Thompson; cousin, Joanne Lucas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy (Dale) Bergy, Delores (Marvin) Haight; his good buddy Jake; also several nieces, nephews and many friends. Don was retired after 39 years from the Kent County Road Commission. Funeral services will be held Sunday 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lowell, 621 E. Main, Lowell, MI 49331. Rev. Rick Blunt officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation Saturday 3-7:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell.
