Dolores Ann Cornwell

Dolores Ann Cornwell, age 96 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Robert Cornwell; daughter, Michelle Jeanne Tonning; son, Stephen Francis Cornwell; grandson, Ryan Patrick Schadt; parents, Gladys and Laurence Kelly; sisters, Phyllis Hesse, Maryann Michmershuizen, Agnes Gedritis; and brother, Bernard Kelly. Dolores is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Dennis) Whalen, Maureen (Kevin) Arnett, Patricia (James) Higgins, Margaret (Dennis) Dudley, Susan (Mike) Hieshetter, Lisa (Chris) Harbison; son-in-law, Ted Tonning; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Kelly; brother-in-law, Robert Gedritis. Dolores graduated from Catholic Central High School and went on to work for Michigan Bell Telephone. She was a charter member at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening, golfing, and was known for being a great cook. Dolores was always kind, loving and caring. She loved her Faith and family and was a dedicated wife and mother. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Sunday, May 4, 2025, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with Rosary at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11am Monday, May 5, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with visitation one-hour prior. Rev.
