Diane Marie Astourian, 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and was a gift of life organ donor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Mary Astourian; and brother-in-law, Dan Howell.
Diane is survived by her husband, Jim Love; her step-son Matthew Love; step-daughter Megan Sawatzki (Brian) and their children Keegan, Brynley, and Hadley; sister, Jeannette (Eric) Astourian; brothers-in-law, David (Cindy) Love and Bruce (Barbara) Love; sisters-in-law, Kathy Howell and Susan (Don) Love; and niece, Ava (Chris) Hicks and daughter Hayden.
Diane was a proud graduate of Michigan State University and later earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. She spent much of her adult life living in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she practiced law for many years. Diane and Jim loved the mountains and traveled widely in the west. Diane was passionate about doing the right thing in both law and life. She loved music of all types and sang and danced in local musical theater productions. Diane had an open, inquisitive mind and read widely.
Diane maintained lifelong friendships with many people throughout the United States. She will be deeply missed.

Diane, you will be deeply missed by those whom you touched with your genuine goodness. All of your old classmates from Michigan State will mourn your loss.
I fondly remember Diane from Jr and Sr High School. She was fun to be around and a very kind person to everyone. I know this kindness will be missed by many people.
I had Diane on my mind all last week and was attempting to contact her. I am so sorry i missed my chance. She was my best friend in junior high and high school but as life would have it, we had lost touch. She was loved by so many for her kind heart, beautiful smile (Sunshine…her nickname) and her many talents not the least of which was her piano. I only regret that i didnt try sooner to contact that lovely lady. My deepest condolences to her husband and the rest of the family. I know that she left a huge space in all of your hearts.
