Dennis Lynn Burns

Dennis Lynn Burns, age 78 of Lowell passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, with his family by his side. Dennis worked for Keebler and retired after 35 years of employment. His favorite things in life were his family and grandkids. He looked forward to Sunday dinners and afternoons of watching football with the “boys.” Dennis loved anything Michigan State, Grand Valley, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions. He was a quiet, private guy, but could joke around with the best of them, still making jokes up until the end. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Esta Burns; sister, Marjorie Hartel; brothers-in-law, Russ Huyser, Bud Huyser, and Don Basham; sisters-in-law, Sharon Van Orman, Jackie Vincent. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Burns; children, Rachel Burns, Ryan (Jenna) Burns, Robin (Chris Cavanaugh) Cross; grandchildren, Tyler Cross, Tanner (Madden Meroney) Cross, Evan Cross, Emma Cross, Nolan Burns, and Reagan Burns. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Lowell, 2275 W. Main St, Lowell, MI 49331, with visitation one hour prior. Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Lowell or to the family for the care of Rachel Burns.
