Denise Ellen Meier, age 73, of Cascade, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne P. and Betty J. Brooks.
Denise is lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Jim Meier; daughters, Jennephyr (Jared Lazaro) Meier, Beckie Davidson, and Kirsten (Anthony) Mojica; cherished grandchildren, Morgan Davidson, Brooks Davidson, Austin Mojica, Blake Mojica, Maddox Davidson, and Hayden Mojica; sisters-in-law, Sue (Mike) Laemers, Joanne (Mark) O’Neill, Pat (Bob) Levering, Cindy (Kevin) Murphy, and Karen (Ron) Duff; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Denise graduated from Forest Hills High School and carried her creativity and curiosity throughout her life. She had a love for gardening and enjoyed expressing herself through ceramics, pottery, painting, and many other creative pursuits. An avid reader, Denise especially loved spending time at libraries and always appreciated the joy found in a good book.
She and Jim shared many wonderful adventures together through their travels to Italy, Hawaii, San Francisco, and Puerto Rico, creating memories that she treasured deeply. Above all, Denise loved her family and found great happiness in supporting her children and grandchildren in their sporting events, performances, and activities. Her presence, encouragement, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Robert of Newminster Catholic Church, 6477 Ada Drive SE, Ada, Michigan, 49301, with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Tony Russo presiding. Interment Cascade Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in Denise’s memory can be made to Gentiva Hospice, 625 Kenmoor Avenue SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546.

Jim was part of my work family…many years of friendship which also included Denise. We traveled for work together to many places, discovered special places and shared a great followship. She was always welcoming, creative, fun loving and caring. Skip and I send our condolences to Jim and his children, grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.
Jim and I worked together for many years and were work friends. I got to know Denise as well. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by friends and family. They are a wonderful family. My condolences for their loss.
Rich and I knew Jim and Denise through Steelcase parties. They were a wonderful fun couple. Jim was my best boss at Steelcase. We are truly sorry for your loss and will keep you in our prayers.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Denise. Her father and my father were business partners together. I will be keeping Denise and her family in my prayers. God bless
