Dale L. Baird, age 77 of Lowell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Katherine Baird; his brother, Ronald Baird; sister-in-law, Judy Baird; and mother-in-law, Jean Butler.
Dale is lovingly survived by his wife of 18 years, Brenda Baird; his children, Michelle (Troy) Timm, Traci Baird, Deborah Baird (Dan Essex), Rachael (Brian) Olmstead, Robert Davis, and Patrick Cooper; and his cherished grandchildren, Zach (Molly), Cassie (Mike), Sarah (Sam), Samantha, Cameron, Cristina (Jeff), Sadie (Joey), Connor, and Richard. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Cooper, Holden, Ronan, Graham, Asher, Reighlyn, Aiden, Adalyn, Eleanor, and Kaden.
He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Judy (Peter) Campbell and Nancy Brandt; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Ken) Luther and Mike (Lyn) Baird; great nieces and nephew, Melody, Joy, Jasper; and his beloved feline companions, Alfie, Misty, Pirate, and Jack.
Dale was a graduate of Union High School and dedicated more than 20 years of service to Keeler Brass. A true outdoorsman at heart, he found joy in camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking, especially during trips to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed sketching, traveling, and spending treasured time with his family—particularly his grandchildren.
Dale also had a deep love for music and song, enjoying singing and playing guitar, and was a former member of Schubert’s Male Choir. In quieter moments, he could often be found watching classic John Wayne movies, content and at peace.
Dale will be remembered for his love of nature, his creativity, his gentle spirit, and his devotion to family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, adventure, and cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved him.
