Dale Gordon Eckman, age 58 of Lowell, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, July 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale E. Eckman; brothers, Dennis C. Eckman, Kevin Dykhouse; uncle, Steven “Shorty” Ridgway; and grandmother, Jean Raterink. Dale is survived by his children, Christopher (Laura Lee Porritt) Eckman, and his mother, Michelle A. Eckman; mother, Barb (Gary) Dykhouse; brothers, Joel Eckman, Joseph Eickhoff, Steven Eickhoff, Rhys (Beth) Dykhouse, Darin Dykhouse; his dog, Shep; and many nephews, nieces, aunts/uncles. Dale was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, kayaking, and golf. He also enjoyed cooking and watching football. He shared all of these passions with his son Christopher who he was most proud of. Often saying that Chris was the best thing he ever did with his life. Dale was recently most excited about Chris starting his own business and looked forward to watching him fulfill his childhood dream. He joked about becoming the weekend delivery boy. Dale was a kindhearted, loyal, caring, and hardworking man who will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2-6pm at the Lowell Moose Lodge, 1320 E Main St, Lowell, MI 49331-9361.
