Clarence “Edd” Stiles, age 80, of Belding, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Edd was preceded in death by his son, Rick Stiles; son-in-law, Lance Gates; and brother, Douglas Stiles.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Pamella Stiles; his children, Kimberly Gates, Tammie (James) Batts, Julee (Eric) Pavelka, Todd (Jill) DeGreen and Lisa (Don) Hindley; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Karen (Terry) Bocian and Marcia (Mike) Scheider; sister-in-law, Colleen Stiles; along with many extended family members and friends.
Edd graduated from Forest Hills High School with the Class of 1963; he worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Federal-Mogul for many years before branching out on his own with his expertise in designing machinery around the world. He had a lifelong passion for aviation, earning his private pilot’s license and taking great pride in owning his own airplane. He enjoyed the freedom of flying and the adventures it brought. He had a love for corvettes and classic cars – shown throughout his life.
He had many talents and hobbies, but he always felt his greatest joy and achievement in life was his family. He cherished the good times with family and friends, ensuring everyone always felt welcome.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson St., Lowell, where a funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with refreshments to follow until 6:00 p.m.
