Christine Lankerd, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on July 26, 1968, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Christine was the beloved daughter of Robert and Karen Meneghini.
Christine grew up in the warm embrace of her family, alongside her sister, Linda and brother Robert, in a home filled with love and laughter. She graduated from Forest Hills Central High School in 1986 and furthered her education by earning a Paralegal Certificate from Davenport University. Christine worked for many years as a paralegal in Grand Rapids and Dallas, Texas, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
In her later years, she found a calling in helping the homeless community. Her empathy and dedication touched many lives. Her acts of kindness were numerous, and her absence will be profoundly felt in the lives she enriched.
Christine had a lifelong passion for horses, a love that began in her youth and continued through her teenage years. She cherished the time spent riding and caring for those beautiful animals.
Christine is survived by her loving mother, Karen Meneghini, her sister, Linda (Rich) Anderson, and her brother, Robert Meneghini. She was a proud aunt to her nephews, Michael Anderson and Tony Meneghini and her niece, Brenda (Mark) White. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Meneghini and her grandparents, Adolph and Julia Meneghini, and Donald and Evadne Tortellet, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
A private gravesite ceremony has been held, allowing her family and close friends to celebrate her life in an intimate setting. Donations may be made in her memory to the Parkinson’s Association
Christine’s memory will forever remain in our hearts. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will live on in the acts of kindness she inspired in others.
