Chris James VanDyke

Chris James VanDyke, age 77 of Lowell, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Clara Marshall; brothers-in-law, Robert Stauffer, and Mark Stauffer. Chris is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia; children, Melissa (Ron) VanOverbeek, Michelle (Kurt) Masselink; grandchildren, Joshua (Dianna) VanOverbeek, Sydney (Robert Schodowski) Hopkins, Samantha (Ian) Boomsma, Taylor Masselink; great-grandchildren, Colton, Jameson, Charlie; brothers, Robert (Debbie) VanDyke; sister, Janet VanDyke, brother-in-law, Dennis (Sandra) Stauffer; and sister-in-law, Janice (Robert) Becker. Chris graduated from Lowell High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Chris worked for 35 years at Dermody Truck Sales. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, boating and camping. Chris had a hole in one and bowled a 300. Services will be held at 11am on Friday January 17, 2025, with visitation 1 hour prior, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson Lowell, MI 49331. Fr.
