Catherine Marie (Kazemier) Rodgers peacefully left this world on Saturday, July 25th at the age of 59.
She was born to Connie and George Kazemier on February 21, 1967. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Rodgers, and her brother Theodorus “Teddy” Kazemier.
She is survived by her children, Tad (Kyrsten) Rodgers and Madison (Renaldo Kilgove) Rodgers and her grandchildren, Layla and Caden. She is also survived by two sisters, Oranda (Jay) May and Sheila Kelly and many other beloved family members in both the United States and the Netherlands.
She lived most her life in Lowell, Michigan. She was a great lover of all animals, often rescuing them by roadside. She was especially fond of her pugs Maggie, Lulu, and Little.
She graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1985 and was a champion wrestler and track high jumper. She spent most of her working career at Curtis and Cooper’s Drycleaners.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and a doting grandmother and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She loved to crochet and was a devoted Detroit Lions fan. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Humane Society.
