Carolyn Marie Mullen, 81, of Vernon CT, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 27, 1944, in Grand Rapids, MI, she was the cherished daughter of the late George and Audrey Aman.
Carolyn will be forever remembered for her creative spirit and generous heart. An avid artist and crafter, she filled her home and the lives of those around her with beauty—whether through her paintings, stained glass, or the love she poured into every gathering.
Above all, Carolyn was the proudest mother and grandmother. She cheered louder, loved deeper, and celebrated every milestone of her children and grandchildren with uncontainable pride and joy.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Joseph Mullen, who passed away in 1998. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to their marriage and family.
A woman of deep faith, Carolyn was a lifelong devoted Catholic who now rests in the eternal glory of the Lord. She is survived by her three devoted sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick & Connie Mullen, Mark Mullen, and James Mullen; her four adored grandchildren, Connor, Ryan, Gabrielle, and Chase Mullen; her brother, Thomas Aman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and family and friends who were blessed to know her.
Committal services will be held at 11:30AM at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 4100 Clyde Park SW Wyoming, MI 49509 on December 12, 2025.
Carolyn’s legacy is one of faith, creativity, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rest in peace,

Marge and I had soooo much fun with Tom and Caro;lyn at the Miller cottage on Lake Michigan in the 70s and 80s. We vividly recall Carolyn shouting “fire, fire” although she had laryngitis at the time and couldn’t make herself understood! No significant damage to the rental was a blessing, but not as great as Carolyn was to our extended family! Our sincere condolences to all of her family members! May her memory be a blessing to all of you!
Her life speaks for itself, a wife, a mother full of Love ❤️. She’s at home with our Saviour and at peace. And her children show that. Our prayers are with the Family. She has gone home and will always be Loved. My Prayers are for those of us left behind 🙏. She will always be in the hearts of friends who knew her and family that Loved her. Until we meet again.

I am praying for you all during this time of profound loss. May God’s peace and comfort surround you, and may your mother’s memory be a source of blessing and strength until you meet again. With deepest sympathy and condolences.
Thinking of you all during this sad time . Xoxo Love Heidi
I have missed my sister so much in our later years ; because she stayed in CY to be close to” her boys” and her grand children.
I finally took the trip to Connecticut to see her and the boys. So glad I did
One of her creative talents was her work on Catholic Central year book but it is her love of family that outshined everything else.
Rest in peace sister with your partner Tom
Pat, Mark and Jim, it was a pleasure having your mother as my neighbor for the past 9 1/2 years. I got to know her quite well, her humor, her knowledge and her kindness. She will be surely missed.
