Blake Charles Bergy, aged 32, of Lowell, MI passed away peacefully at home after a 27-month valiant battle with brain cancer. Blake was preceded in death by his father, Michael Bergy; grandparents, Donald Bergy, Martin Kooiman, Francis Backstrom and Carol Block. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Susan and Jay Block; brother, Travis Bergy (Lance Perkins); stepbrother Alex (Hillary and Benson) Block; grandma; Sondra Bergy; step-grandpa, Donald Block; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friend, Mark Pacini; and dogs, Izzo and Ollie.
Blake graduated from Lowell High School in 2011 and attended Grand Valley State University. He worked for ALTL, Inc. as an over-the-road truck driver and most recently at Republic Services as a truck driver.
Blake enjoyed hiking trips with Travis and Lance; concerts with Elliott and Katie and working around the house with Mark and caring for Izzo and Ollie.
Family will greet friends and relatives from 4-7pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson Lowell, Michigan 49331.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10am-2pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at The Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo, 1300 Fulton St W, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Care Shelter for Kent County or Pink Arrow Project.
