Betty June Klein

1934- 2024

Betty June Klein, of Cascade, went to be with her Lord and savior on Tuesday October 22, 2024, just a few weeks before her ninetieth birthday. Betty was lovingly welcomed into the Reena and Peter Buys family when she was eight years old and along with her brother Jack, was raised in Alto, Michigan.

As a young woman, Betty worked at the Keebler company where she met her life partner of 64 years, Jacob Klein Jr. A superior homemaker, Betty was famous for her cooking skills, delicious meals and desserts. Her beautiful smile, infectious giggle and welcoming spirit blessed all who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Jacob Klein Jr. (2018). Betty will live forever in the hearts and memories of her beloved children, Rudy Klein, David (Jane) Klein, and Barbara Lofquist; as well as grandchildren, Jesse (Angela), Steven (Holly), Jordan (Michaela), Gayle (Tim), Reid (Emily), and Grant (Toni); her many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, care givers, and neighbors all held a special place in her heart.

Visitation with the family will be held at Thornapple Community Church, 3260 Thornapple River Dr. SE, from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

A Service to celebrate Betty’s life will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Tim Dieffenbach officiating. Interment Whitneyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, 2100 Raybrook SE Suite 300 Grand Rapids, MI 49546-5783.

  1. I will always remember my aunt Betty for her great cooking and her laugh. Her Thanksgiving meals including desserts were always fun and you were stuffed for hours after dinner. Unfortunately I can not make the funeral due to a prior plans to be out of town. I’m praying for the family as they morne Betty. Bob Buys
