Ardith Greeson Miller, age 96, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, entering into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born Ardith Winifred Auger on September 7, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, to Marguerite and Albert Jerome Auger. She grew up in Flint alongside her sister, Arlene, and her brother, Jerry.
Ardith met and married Walter Greeson, and together they built a beautiful life and family. They welcomed three children—Dawn, Debbie, and Allen—and moved to Grand Rapids in 1955. A few years later, their daughter Cheri was born, completing their family. The family became devoted members of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, which remained a cornerstone of Ardith’s life. She was deeply involved in the church community, singing in the choir, participating in women’s circle and Bible study, and serving in leadership roles, including as an elder.
Ardith was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was gathering family and friends—not only for holidays, but for any occasion that brought loved ones together. After nearly forty years of marriage, Walter passed away in 1988. In January 2003, she married Calvin Miller. Together they shared nearly twenty years filled with adventure, companionship, and joy until his passing in 2021.
Music was a lifelong passion for Ardith, beginning in childhood and continuing throughout her years. She cherished time spent with her family at their cottage on Lake Michigan and enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and cards with friends and loved ones.
Compassionate and generous, Ardith lived her 96 years grounded in a deep and abiding faith, which she shared freely with others. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Dawn (Tom) Adloff, Debra (Patrick) Duiven, Allen (Samantha) Greeson, Cheri (Bruce) VanOverloop; stepchildren, Brad (Missy) Miller, Polly Simpson, and Cam (Audie) Miller; sisters-in-law, Sharon Auger, Anne Churchill; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Jerome and Marguerite Auger; her husbands, Walter Greeson and Calvin Miller; sister, Arlene (Bill) Murray; brother, Jerry Auger; nieces, Cathy Cady, Sue Murray; great-niece, Michelle Cooper; and nephew, Ron Auger.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time.

Aunt Ardith was a beautiful person, inside and out. I am so sorry for her passing, but grateful for her 96 years of living life to its fullest. Your family is in my prayers. Cherish all the wonderful memories you have of your precious mom. Love you all.
My mom, Eileen, 93, cherished her visits with Ardith, at Heather Hills. A beautiful testimony that you can form special friendships even in your nineties ♥️ What a beautiful life she lived!!!
