Kathy Jo Erdman, age 64 of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Charles Kramsvogel. Kathy is survived by her children, Robert Erdman, Emily Erdman, and Rachel Erdman; brother, Chuck Kramsvogel; and sister-in-law, Claudia Kramsvogel. Kathy’s legacy will forever shine bright as a loving and generous soul who brought joy and warmth to those around her. She had a special talent for expressing her love through her culinary skills, and her delicious creations were a testament to her generous spirit. Kathy’s infectious laughter and beaming smile illuminated every room she entered, and her unwavering kindness and compassion touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. Her ability to connect with others was truly remarkable, and she effortlessly made friends with everyone she encountered. Kathy’s spirit will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. Visitation will be held 10:00 am Friday, March 31, 2023, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.

Kathy was a sweet and loving person. I can remember the time we first met she wrapped her arms around me like she knew me forever and made sure I was introduced to everybody who I didn’t know. Her sweet spirit I’m sure will live on in her children. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was always the first one to volunteer for anything and take the hardest task. May your sweet soul Rest In Peace.
I’m so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. My memories of her are very dated, but they are all so beautiful.

My family and I go way back with Kathy. 37 years! Weddings, baptisms (Kathy was my daughter, Rebecca’s godmother..) Girls weekends . .. such fun memories of my girls, Rebecca, and Julia having fun with Robbie, Emily, and Rachel when they were so tiny! Kathy also always had a smile on her face and a great laugh to give out! There’s so many wonderful memories I have of Kathy, .. the talent she had for Baking ,cooking interior design. She had the best listening ear in the world. We had a blast every time we saw each other! During Covid and after we talked, probably once a week on the phone .If I didn’t call her. . she would definitely call me! That’s the way she was. She was one of my true Besties ! I will miss her forever .So sorry for your loss, Rachel, Emily and Robbie .. ❤️ my heart aches for all of you.
I am truly saddened by Kathy’s passing. Periodically Kathy and I would run into each other in Cadillac, she always had the most wonderful smile and attitude❣️

Your mother was a lovely person, talent and giving.
Our lives started out before your parents were even married and I loved from the first time I saw her❤️We all will have the memories we created together and you will have those to cherish forever. Your mother would always show up to our gatherings with extra food ( amazing recipes) and those hostess gifts.
