John Henry Homan, age 71 of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 after a battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Norma Homan; sisters, Peggy Allen and Nancy Hobert. John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Homan; children, Gary (Chasity) VanderMark, Robin (Jeff) Kyburz, Michelle (Tony) Stepek; grandchildren, Courtney and Bailey VanderMark, Josh, Haley and Nate Kyburz, Gage Stepek; nieces and nephews; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. John loved watching his son Gary racing on dirt tracks, watching Nascar racing and going to casino’s. He also enjoyed his career trucking throughout the country. The family will be having a private military service at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012. Great Brother in law. I had lots of fun with John going to Michigan Intl. Speedway every summer and the small projects I helped him with. Always had time to laugh at some the goofy things we did and said. He will be missed a lot by family & friends.
